HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR PERFECT 10 PEEL TREATMENT

It is important to discontinue the use of retinols, AHA's and BHA's at least one week prior to your treatment.

Expect up to 10 days of skin recovery and peeling. Most individuals may not want to be seen in public 4 to 5 days post treatment.

We recommend having this procedure performed every 2 to 4 weeks depending on the results you would like to achieve.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE PEEL TREATMENT

Most patients report warmth or minor itchiness as the treatment is delivered. Many find the treatment relaxing and comfortable.

Excellent results can be obtained in just one treatment, but the number of treatments needed varies from patient to patient. Your Skin Rejuvenation Aesthetician can personalize a plan based on your specific needs.

PERFECT 10 PEEL TREATMENT, POST-PROCEDURE

Immediately after the treatment you will notice that your skin has some redness and a sunburn-like sensation, as well as mild swelling.

You may be given skin care products and instructions on how to use them. Your skin will be sensitive to ultraviolet light after the procedure, so you must avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. It is recommended that you always use some level of solar protection to avoid sun damage and premature aging of your skin.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER A PERFECT 10 PEEL

Treated areas remain red and very warm for 12 to 24 hours post-procedure.
Redness over the treatment area may intensify at first, but reduce over a period of 7 days.
Within 2 to 3 days post-procedure, treated areas may darken, small spots and crusty patches surface. Damaged skin is preparing to lift away as fresh tissue regenerates.
Skin will be very dry and flaky, with peeling and sloughing for up to 10 days. Do NOT scratch, pick, or scrape your skin.
Post-treatment discomfort may be relieved with OTC Tylenol/Advil, as directed by your provider.
